About Us

Our group represented a range of organisations and provision offering Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programmes.  All participants would use the same ILP format that had been included in the Anglia Ruskin Handbook for use in the ITT partnership.  Anglia Ruskin University would introduce a paper ILP on its ‘Diploma in Teaching Literacy and Numeracy’ course.   Thurrock & Basildon College would use an electronic ILP with its part-time Certificate in Education/PGCE course (Cert. Ed /PGCE) and City & Guilds (C&G) 7302.  West Suffolk College would use the same electronic version on the City & Guilds 7407 and 7302 courses.  Cambridge Regional College would use the paper version on its Cert. Ed/PGCE provision.  Thurrock Adult Community College was considering the introduction of the City & Guilds 7302 and wanted to gain experience to assist planning

"The ILP is the process at the core of ITT provision and an essential part of the reforms.  It has ‘spill over’ into initial assessment; numeracy/literacy/ICT; continuing professional development (CPD); reflective practice; HR; learning & teaching strategies; tracking; information sharing and matters of accessibility to this information"
