About Us

 

Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) is a higher education institution (HEI) operating in close partnership with a number of further education (FE) colleges and community groups within the region. The partnership delivers the PGCE and Certificate in Education through full-time, part-time, in-service and pre-service routes, which attract a diverse range of trainees from across the learning and skills sector.

 

"Our aim was to design a professional development record (PDR) module that could be responsive to the developing agenda for 2007, Licence to Practise requirements and registration with the Institute for Learning (IfL).

 

The challenge was to create a flexible and responsive model to deliver this aim while at the same time supporting the needs of a diverse group of learners from across the breadth of the sector."
