City College Norwich
About Us
Established in 1996, the Research Centre is part of the Faculty for Higher Education at City College Norwich, College of Further and Higher Education, and is a fully devolved designated research centre of the University of East Anglia. As a research centre, it offers an eclectic range of methodologies, specialising in qualitative data-gathering techniques - particularly action research, case study and evaluation.
This research involved a number of providers in further and higher education together with a secondary school and sixth-form centre (see list below).Â
"Our project was designed to improve formative assessment of trainees’ teaching practice. After reviewing the literature on best practice of observation and feedback procedures, and after identifying the strengths and issues of current practice, we went on to test four models of classroom observation to check their efficacy and practicality."
