About Us

 

Established in 1929 to meet the training needs of local industry, Cornwall College has now grown to be the largest Further and Higher Education College in the UK with an average of 45,000 students, nearly 1,700 students studying university level courses. The annual budget is £68 million. There are seven campus sites and a number of other venues such as Learning Shops in town centres. There are over 3,000 different courses to choose from. Cornwall College is one of the largest employers in the County with over 2,800 full and part-time staff.


The Corporate School of Education and Training works across all the college’s sites to provide a focus for the training and development of teachers and managers of teachers. It offers qualification courses, short courses and professional support, also undertaking development work in the area of education and training. The School also works outside of the College to train teachers and others with similar responsibilities in education and training.
