About Us

 

City of Bristol College is one of the largest further education (FE) colleges in England, with approximately 2,200 staff and 42,000 students. Courses are delivered on eight main sites across the city and several other community venues. The report on our Ofsted inspection in February 2006 rated us ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ in all areas. The college has a strong mission to build partnerships with local industry and to ensure that the diversity of Bristol’s population is reflected in both its students and its staff.

 

"The aim of our project was to produce a workplace observer model with an ILP that included workplace observer contributions. We worked with a range of providers including the NHS, the prison service, adult and community learning (ACL), work-based learning (WBL) and voluntary providers, as well as general FE providers."
